University students

The canteen access card is obtained in different ways depending on the year and the institute you are enrolled in.
These are the various cases:

  • University freshmen
  • University students enrolled in years after the 1st
  • Freshmen and students enrolled in other institutes
  • International mobility students• Other types of students

University Freshmen

Freshmen at UNIPI, UNIFI, UNISI and UNISTRASI will receive the Student Card of Tuscany according to the methods specified below:

  • University of Florence : will be sent by post (to the address indicated during enrollment) to all freshmen.
  • University of Pisa, University of Siena and University for Foreigners of Siena : direct delivery by the university to all freshmen.

What to do to access when they have the card?
Activation

Students of the University of Florence must:

  • wait until January 15, 2025: starting from this date the card will be automatically active. Obviously it will be possible to use the canteen service by communicating the matriculation number to the operator;

  • if instead you have not received the "Student of Tuscany" card you must write to cartastudente@unifi.it asking for clarification.

Students of the University of Siena and the University for Foreigners of Siena :

  • will receive their own "Student of Tuscany" card from their University and it will be active starting from the day after delivery.

Students of the University of Pisa must:

  • activate the "Tuscany Student" card that they received by mail at the Student Desk by choosing the "Student Agenda" menu and then "Access appointments". At this point you need to click on "Request a new appointment", select the "ONLINE ACTIVATION OF THE TUSCANY STUDENT CARD" item and indicate the date of issue of the card (which is found on the front of the card itself). Finally, choose the preferred activation date. The card will be active for the DSU Toscana university canteens from the chosen day (click on "Confirm appointment" at the bottom).

What happens while waiting for the card?
While waiting to receive the "Studente della Toscana" card, all enrolled students are allowed to use the canteen service by presenting only an identity document at the cash desks of the refreshment points: the operator will track down the name and proceed with the charge for the meal.
To top up the canteen account, simply connect to the Ricarichiamoci portal

Starting from January 15, 2025, it will no longer be possible to access the refreshment points with this method: it will therefore be necessary to show the "Studente della Toscana" card. The remaining credit will be automatically transferred to the student card without any action on the part of the student.
For any further information, the student can open a ticket on the Student Desk.
